It is occasionally open, but unpredictable. The attendant couldn't give any clear indication of how to predict when it will be open. It was ¥400 to get in, and really worth it. I could ascend the ladder up to the second level. There was no one else there when I went yesterday, so I had the attention of 4 amida-sama. Even better, I was on the clock, taking pictures for a client website.

I got about 50 pictures, and I think I will use them to make a Flash tour, which is something I should be doing more of, to get my kyotown.com site ready.
