uh, maybe I'm smoking but didn't I just read that you said you weren't going to do these anymore?
(what's that large sucking sound?)
Posted by: Kurt on April 13, 2004 01:24 AMThanks for posting this. I was going to ask if you would make a larger desktop background of sakura blossoms. :D
Posted by: Cheryl on April 13, 2004 04:08 AMUhh, yeah, I wrote something like that, but I spent about five hours yesterday filling a three-meter-long table with data on all the hotels in Kansai and needed some diversion when it was all over, so I made a big picture.
Posted by: nils on April 13, 2004 09:28 AMYay! Desktop backgrounds. Your photos are great. You're not a sucker--people would pay you for these shots.

Oh, you'll pay...you'll ALL pay! *twiddles mustache tips*
Posted by: nils on April 13, 2004 10:53 PMOmg, that pic is gorgeous (as are all of your pictures)! Lol and u r hilarious. I am sorry that people use you for backgrounds. Just the fact that this lovely site exists is enough for me; I would never ask anything more of u!

I've seen different models used to help offset bandwidth costs. If it becomes a necessity with the continued (and growing) popularity of your site, I'd be willing to bounce some ideas.
On wallpaper images:
There's two ideas for wallpaper series bouncing around my braincase -- one of bento or food shots, and the other for meibutsu. I can see images of yatsuhashi in Kyoto, apples in Aomori, rice paddles in Miyajima... I think I could have fun with this idea. (^-^) Otherwise, beautiful as always.
Jerry, the idea you should be bouncing around is changing your identity and going underground before Rumsfeld finds out where you are and sends you back.
Actually, those are good ideas for backgrounds. My mother-in-law bought us some expensive sushi bentos last week and I took a picture, but sort of dark and shadowy and at an oblique angle, not really bg material.
Anyway, the attention of site visitors is going to be diverted to the new site VERY SOON. Believe it.
