nice pictures and nice kid!
Posted by: Gianni on July 17, 2004 07:50 PMThanks for sharing these with us. I have been out of Japan over four years and your page helps keep me in touch. The boy looks like he's ready to start walking already!
Posted by: Leonard on July 19, 2004 09:22 PMWish I could be there, as usual. I have pleasant memories of walking Shijo during Gion, and talking with friends and locals. First time I had shio-yaki ayu was there. Is that jinbei you're wearing?
Posted by: Jerry on July 22, 2004 04:30 AMYeah, that's a jinbei, and Greg is wearing his new baby yukata. I'll put a picture of it in the gallery section. My university professor and his wife stayed with us a few years ago, and he thought it was outrageous when I ate roasted ayu on a stick in Arashiyama. I haven't been to Arashiyama in ages, I ought to get over there, regardless of how crowded it is.
