Kurama Hi-matsuri (Kurama Fire Festival)

A sea of fire floating on a sea of people, and yet no one seems to get burned.

Hello ! Have you ever seem a soba served in Kurama that the soba goes out from a pipe of bambu ? I saw yesterday on the TV but as i am brazilian, i did not undertand anything.

Yeah, that's called nagashi somen (Look here. There is a link to a short video). It's popular in the kurama/kibune area, where you can eat on platforms of tatami stretched over the river itself, or even flat-bottoms boats anchored in the river. Quite a treat in the heat of summer. Another restaurant.
