
There hasn't been much rain lately, and it has been quite warm as well, but Yoshiko tells me that tomorrow we will shift into winter weather.

This picture reminds me of an autumn view of a New England industrial town. Where did you take the picture from, and what part of the Kamo river is shown here? Best wishes...
The red patch of trees near bottom right is Shimogamo Jinja, so this is where the Kamo and Takano Rivers fork, the Takano going off to the right. Halfway up is the Botanical Gardens, which look quite small with the foreshortening, but are quite big. In front of the hill in the background is Kamigamo Jinja, so this is the view you would have if you were flying up the river to bomb Kamigamo. My camera has a 12X optical zoom equivalent to about 420mm lens, and this was taken with a tripod from several kilometers away at Shogun-zuka.
