Posted by: Saskia on April 8, 2005 11:29 PMI've been coming to Your site for quite some time... I really have to say that Your Photos and perspective of Japan (as presented in Your postings) are Wonderful... Absolutely Wonderful.
Posted by: Azim on April 8, 2005 11:34 PMMost trees were pretty much mankai today in Higashiyama are of Kyoto (a bit south and a tad warmer than where Nils is), yet there were some trees with no blossoms right next to mankai trees. Perhaps it's the odd weather we've had.
The area around Niomon-dori and Heian-jingu were quite nice. Maruyama-koen, on the other hand, was a disgusting zoo that not even the sakura could overcome. Some pics (not as good as Nils') linked from my blog (click on my name below).
Posted by: Jeffrey Friedl on April 8, 2005 11:37 PMdear Nils,
maybe you can help me.... I am looking for info in the web about a famous department store in Kyoto specialized in kimono. The name is Reisen. Do you know if they have a web page? Thank you so much.
Kiss to Greg (I am half italian and half japanese!!!)
