Sunset at Kiyomizu

Looking out over the valley. Autumn has swept into Kyoto behind the last typhoon, with increasingly cooler days and evenings, and the flopsweat can be forgotten until next summer comes. The Kyoto Arts Festival is in full swing once again.

Kyomments

Was just there this Sunday. Wonderful, but busy.

I was giving a college friend the grand tour, but it was Monday, so crowds were very light, even for a Monday. Summer vacations are over, autumn leaf-viewing crowds have yet to pour in, so I suppose there's a bit of a lull. You have to let me know the next time you are in town so we can have the first-ever MeFi Kansai mini-meetup.

P.S. These would all make fab desktops... help? :-)

I cannot tell you how relieved I am to hear about the approaching cooler weather. I'm going to Kyoto VERY soon and I was worried about the weather. I'm looking forward to seeing these places in person!
